Separation

Protection

Geotextile Factory‘s Applications

Roadways & Pavement Systems
Application: Placed between the soft subgrade soil and the aggregate base course.
Function: Separation, Reinforcement, Filtration
Benefit: Prevents soil and aggregate from mixing, which maintains the structural integrity of the road base. This significantly extends pavement life, reduces rutting, and lowers long-term maintenance costs by reducing the required aggregate thickness.

Rail Track Bed Stabilization
Application: Installed beneath the ballast layer.
Function: Separation, Filtration
Benefit: Prevents fine subsoil from pumping up into the ballast due to train vibrations. This maintains proper drainage and track alignment, ensuring greater stability and reducing the frequency of costly ballast maintenance.

Reinforced Soil Structures
Application: Constructing reinforced steep slopes, retaining walls, and embankments.
Function: Reinforcement
Benefit: Layers of high-strength geotextile provide tensile strength to the soil, creating a stable, coherent mass. This allows for the construction of vertical or near-vertical walls that are more cost-effective and flexible than traditional concrete structures.

Erosion Control & Slope Protection
Application: Used on slopes, riverbanks, and shorelines beneath riprap (stone armor) or in conjunction with revegetation.

Benefit: Holds soil in place while allowing water to permeate, preventing surface erosion caused by runoff or wave action. It acts as a stable foundation for rocks, preventing scour and undercutting.

Coastal & Marine Works
Application: Used in revetments, groynes, and as geotextile containers/tubes.
Function: Filtration, Protection, Separation
Benefit: Prevents soil loss beneath coastal structures while allowing water pressure to dissipate. Geotextile tubes are filled with sand or slurry to create stable, erosion-resistant breakwaters, dunes, and seawalls.

Drainage Systems
Application: Wrapped around French drains, aggregate drains, and perforated pipes.
Function: Filtration, Drainage
Benefit: Allows water to freely enter the drain while filtering out soil particles. This prevents system clogging (siltation) and ensures long-term, efficient water flow to relieve hydrostatic pressure behind retaining walls or under sport fields.
