Geogrid mat is a high-performance geosynthetic material, characterized by a rigid polymer grid-like structure with large apertures (openings). Unlike impermeable sheets, its primary function is not containment or separation, but rather interlocking mechanical stabilization and tensile reinforcement of soils and aggregates. It transforms weak, substandard soils into a strong, stable, and composite foundation material.

The unique open grid design allows aggregate particles to partially penetrate through the apertures. This creates a powerful mechanical interlock between the geogrid and the infill material.
