Geobag Dewatering
Geobag dewatering is a passive, gravity-based dewatering process that uses permeable geotextile containers (geo bags) to contain and dewater slurry-like materials.
Pumping: A sludge or sediment slurry is pumped into the geo bag.
Filtration: The specially engineered fabric of the geo bag allows water to pass through (effluent) while efficiently retaining solid particles.
Consolidation: The retained solids consolidate within the bag over time, often with the aid of natural evaporation, resulting in a significant volume reduction and a stable, semi-solid material for easy disposal or potential reuse.

Geobag Dewatering
The Advantages of Geobag Dewatering
Cost-Effectiveness: Drastically reduces transportation and disposal costs by removing up to 90% of the water content on-site. Eliminates the need for expensive mechanical dewatering equipment.
Efficiency & Simplicity: The process is simple to implement and requires minimal energy (primarily for pumping). Multiple bags can be filled simultaneously, handling large volumes efficiently.

Geobag Dewatering
Space Efficiency: The dewatering process occurs within a confined footprint, making it ideal for projects with limited space. The stacked or arranged bags optimize site utilization.
Durability & Strength: Manufactured with high-strength sewn seams, our geo bags are designed to withstand the high pressures of filling and the weight of consolidated solids.
Environmental Compliance: The geobags are made from UV-stabilized polypropylene, resistant to chemicals and biological degradation. The contained dewatering process minimizes the risk of contaminant release, protecting surrounding soil and water.

Geobag Dewatering’s Applications
Sludge Dewatering Treatment
The volume of sludge can be reduced by more than 90%, and it contains a higher proportion of solid content, making it easier to remove and process. Separates solids from sludge or dredged material.
Revetment, Breakwater
The embankment core filling geobag dewatering breakwater is a breakwater made of new materials. It forms a kind of breakwater by filling the geobag with sea sand. Not only saves the construction cost of the breakwater, but also makes better use of environmental resources, and can well meet the construction and functional requiremenrs of the breakwater. Acts as submerged barriers.
Land reclamation
Geobag dewatering technology can dehydrate the bottom mud gathered in river, bays seaports, wharves, ports and docks to project the environment. Creates barriers for sediment control.
Coastal Protection
Geobag dewatering dehydration technology reduces the water content in the filtration process, simplifies the water recycling process, and intercepts more than 90% of the suspended soild particles. It is an ideal choice for cleaning sludge storage tanks,
clarification tanks and filtering waster projects.
Erosion Control
Protects shorelines, riverbanks, and slopes.
